The popular city-building simulation from Ubisoft is coming to consoles. Soon, Anno 1800 will also be playable on Xbox and PS5.
In a blog entry, the German subsidiary Ubisoft Mainz surprisingly announced that they are already working hard on a console version of 1800. According to the entry, the game will be playable on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Amazon Luna. However, the console version does only include the base game. This means that the many DLCs that have been released for the PC will not be included (at least not yet).
Technical Test for Anno 1800 Console Edition
Fans have the possibility to participate in a technical test via this link. The requirement: Be a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S owner and sign the non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This means that images and impressions of the test version may not be passed on to third parties or shared with them.
Anno 1800 on the console. That sounds like a cozy and exciting mix. However, it remains to be seen exactly when the console version will be released. Ubisoft Mainz asks for a bit more patience at this point but has assured us that more information about the Anno 1800 Console Edition will follow from Ubisoft in early 2023.
