Update, October 31
This news should have a very bitter taste for the fans: The previously established and famous actor Henry Cavill announced on Instagram that he will no longer play Geralt of Rivia after the third season. He did not reveal the exact reason for this.
Nonetheless, the TV show will continue and receive a fourth season. A worthy replacement for Geralt has already been found: According to Caville’s Instagram Post and Netflix, actor Liam Hemsworth will now go into battle.
One consolation for fans is that season 3 is still in production. So Cavill will be with us for a few more episodes. The third season will start in the summer of 2023.

The previous season’s actors of the TV show
The cast and also the environment are visually very much based on the computer game series The Witcher. The Netflix Original had already provided us with great actors – first and foremost with leading character Henry Cavill in the role of Witcher Geralt of Rivia. Also in the second season, the star cast remained stable. We could look forward to a reunion with Freya Allan as Cirilla of Cintra, Eamon Farren as Cahir, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg. But what about the upcoming Season of the series?

We’re happy to see the main characters in this Twitter post back in action again. Henry Cavill (The Tudors, Man of Steel) is on the right. On the left side, we see Freya Allan, and next to her Anya Chalotra. Furthermore, it seems that Joey Batey (Jaskier), Eamon Farren (Cahir), Anna Shaffer (Triss), Lars Mikkelson (Stregobor), MyAnna Buring (Tissaia), Tom Canton (Filavandrel), Terence Maynard (Artorius) as well as Royce Pierreson as Istredd will have their appearances again too.
Even if we still must be patient for a while, it’s good to see our beloved cast in the production phase again for The Witcher Season 3. For those who are new on board, it’s a great opportunity to watch the previous seasons of the series, as it’s a great video game adaption for TV and next to the announcement of the Super Mario Movie additional exciting news for gaming fans.
