The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is getting spooky with the Halloween Hunt DLC, a mod developed especially for the creepy season
If you are an owner of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can rejoice. Modders have released a fan-made DLC for the Zelda title BotW. The mod is called “The Halloween Hunt”.
Together with his fellow modder Sockpoppet, Waikuteru has developed this scary DLC that you can play in time for Halloween. Many spooky challenges, weapons, armor, and NPCs await you as well as a new boss – the Phantom Rider.
Link is tasked with dissolving a curse that has fallen upon the Koroks. To achieve this, he must prepare a very special stew. You can probably guess what our hero has to do for this. That’s right. He has to go in search of very special ingredients and collect cursed pumpkins.
Sounds simple? But it probably won’t be because the pumpkins are only dropped by a mysterious creature, which also happens to be the monster that brought the curse on the Koroks. Moreover, these ingredients are not found everywhere, but only in a certain place. Feel free to check out the full showcase for the DLC below:
You can grab the Mod for Nintendo Wii U here. The version for the Switch is still in the making but will probably be available on the same site too, as soon as the developers have finished their work on it.
