7. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals

Prepare for the sequel to Night School Studio’s acclaimed indie horror. The story in Oxenfree II: Lost Signals takes place five years after the events of its predecessor. As environmental researcher Riley Poverly, you head to your hometown of Camena to get to the bottom of mysterious radio signals causing interference with radio and electrical equipment. But what a miracle, this investigation goes wrong, and you’ll have to embark on an adventurous journey against your will and solve numerous mysterious riddles. If you are a fan of paranormal thrills and devoured series like Stranger Things, you can rejoice because Lost Signals will soon hit the market on July 12th, 2023.

6. Blasphemous II

Do you like to play Nintendo Switch games in the style of Castlevania? Then you’ll be happy to know that a new Blasphemous title is coming for Switch in 2023. Already the first installment was an absolute blast. The title impresses with its hand-drawn pixel graphics, dark atmosphere, and brutal boss fights. Blasphemous II will undoubtedly be no less bloody, grotesque, and ‘blasphemous,’ sending you as the Chosen One again into battle against spawns of hell. 5. Disney Illusion Island

If you think it’s a shame that Disney Dreamlight Valley only has a single player, look forward to Disney Illusion Island. In this hand-drawn 2D action platformer, you can jump, swing, swim, and run through mysterious, beautiful landscapes with up to three friends in couch co-op mode. Of course, you can choose your favorite Disney character and unlock special abilities. Play the heartwarming jump’n’run adventure as early as July 18th, 2023.

We continue with a Nintendo exclusive that is no less cute. If you love sci-fi games but also like them to be more harmless, Pikmin 4 is one of the new upcoming games on Switch that many Nintendo fans look forward to in 2023. The new Pikmin is just as colorful and cute again. In the fourth installment, you’ll embark on a grand adventure with the tiny plant-like creatures called Pikmin and explore an alien planet. The Pikmin have different colors and different abilities. With an ice Pikmin, you can freeze enemies; with a red Pikmin, you can dare fiery experiments. On the journey, the cuddly space dog Otschin will also be a faithful companion who can transport you and your tiny friends. The adventure already starts on July 21st, 2023.

3. Hogwarts Legacy

This title is a particular highlight in our ranking of the best upcoming Switch Games 2023. In February, the massive open-world action RPG centered around the famous wizarding school premiered on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Recently, it also appeared for the PS4 and Xbox One. Now, you don’t have to wait much longer! As early as July 25th, you can experience Hogwarts Legacy on your Switch wherever and whenever you want. In this third-person game, you can customize your character, participate in wizarding lessons, and explore the vast fantasy world on foot or with a magic broom while solving numerous riddles and mysteries. And yes, you can also ride a hippogriff and fight against giant spiders if you like.

2. LEGO 2K Drive

With LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, WB Games served us another great LEGO title last year. The games are always a lot of fun, especially in co-op with friends. In the open world called Bricklandia, you can experience the ultimate driving adventure. From what we’ve read and seen, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will most likely surpass Breath of the Wild. As Link, you’ll dive into a new epic adventure and explore the beautiful landscapes of the vast open world of Hyrule. This time also a little more in the direction of the sky. The kingdom is in danger of perishing, and you must embark on a challenging mission, withstand numerous battles and solve tricky riddles so the land can keep on shining. Tears of the Kingdom is, without a doubt, the highlight of 2023 and deserves the throne as the most awesome Nintendo exclusive in our top games ranking.
