Finally, Pokémon Sleep Gets a Release Date + Trailer

Do you hate Mondays? Then take a look at the new app from the Pokémon Company. The developers want that to change.

The Pokémon Company wants to improve our physical well-being with Pokémon Sleep. After a long silence around the mobile app, the developers finally gave some insight into the game and revealed the release date.

Pokémon trainers, listen up! An almost forgotten app returns to the scene. At today’s Pokémon presentation, fans finally saw the highly anticipated Pokémon Sleep app and could marvel at some gameplay scenes.

How does Pokemon Sleep work?

The app records your sleep patterns during the night and rewards you for that time spent. It categorizes your sleep into three phases: Semi-sleep, light, and deep sleep. Your sleep quality then affects the story of the game. In the game, you can watch the many cute Pokémon take a cozy nap from an isometric perspective. And maybe the cute creatures will also help you get a better night’s sleep. Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO and president of The Pokémon Company, expressed:

The concept of this game is for players to look forward to waking up every morning.

Snorlax goes V.I.P. (Very Important Pokémon)

As a player, you’ll visit the new island where Professor Neroli lives, who studies the sleep of Pokemon. Of course, the master of sleep celebrates his remarkable comeback: Snorlax, the focus of the investigations, attracts other Pokémon so that they rest near him. The Pokémons have a different sleep type and gather around Snorlax depending on your night’s rest. So if you sleep very well, those Pokémons with identical sleep types will congregate and vice versa. An adorable way to give you a sense of your sleep quality.

The app distinguishes between three types of sleep. Here we see somePokémon side by side, illustrating the different states.
