With The Mageseeker, a new LoL spin-off joins the League of Legends Universe. The game will be playable in a few weeks and, as the name suggests, revolves around a ton of magic.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is a pixel-art 2D action RPG roguelike from the developers Digital Sun and pivots around the LoL champion Sylas. The game highlights his backstory, which originates in the Kingdom of Demacia.
Sylas, The Unshackled, has returned
In this LoL spin-off, you control Sylas, known from the League of Legends universe as “The Unshackled”. The so-called Mageseekers imprisoned him because Sylas has magical powers, which is not tolerated in the kingdom. However, having managed to free himself, the hero is determined to start a revolution to bring down the tyrants.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is a challenging action RPG in which you’ll gradually learn the different elements of magic. For example, you’ll go into battle with ice and fire spells, but you’ll also use your infamous chains. And, of course, the hack-and-slash game will also offer you some Jump’n’Run moments. Besides the battles, you’ll always be looking for rebel allies to get the revolution rolling. The brand-new gameplay trailer gives you some first glimpses.

In only a few more weeks, the game will hit the market (on April 18) and will be available for PS4/PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and for PC via Steam. The base game costs $29.99, and pre-orderers will also get a loyal feathered companion with the “Lost Silverwing” DLC.
For $39.99, there’s the Deluxe Edition, which includes the DLCs “Silverwing Supply Station”, “Home Sweet Cave Pack”, Hijacked Spells Pack”, and “Unchained Skins Pack”.
You can also get the limited physical Collector’s Edition for $169.99, which includes a Sylas statue, deluxe art print, hardcover art book, Sylas and Lux enamel pins, an exclusive 10-inch OST vinyl, and the LUX Comic Special Edition Hardcover. The whole thing, of course, comes in special packaging.
