Diablo 4: The World of Sanctuary in All Its Beauty

Going from A to B in Sanctuary will be an absolute pleasure. And if you ever get lost, always follow the river...

The new open beta event for Diablo IV will take place in March. Now Blizzard beats the advertising drum again and impresses the fan base with a new video showcasing more from the different map zones of Sanctuary.

Diablo 4 is scheduled for release on June 6, 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4/PS5, and PC, and the hype in the gaming community is growing relentlessly. The developers reward their fans with more reveals and info as the game approaches completion.

This time, there are two different playable characters on the left and right that perform fire attacks on monsters in a dark dungeon.

The world Sanctuary of Diablo 4 is presented in more detail

In the new video, Blizzard introduces the very diverse map of Diablo 4 and highlights the different areas.

Diablo 4’s world Sanctuary consists of a total of five regions. The Dry Steppes, Scosglen, Hawezar, Kehjistan, and Fractured Peaks. Real-world areas also inspired these zones. The Dry Steppes is a hilly, arid area, while Scosglen is based on Scottish landscapes. Hawezar includes marshy and Kehjistan sandy broad areas with dunes. The Carpathian Mountains inspired the zone Fractured Peaks.

The transitions between these Diablo 4 areas look even more remarkable. Walking from the peaks to Hawezar, you can see how the snow gradually turns into water that forms rivers in the swamps of the other zone.

Blizzard promises that in the large map of Sanctuary, you’ll discover something new at every turn, whether quests, enemies, resources, safe camps, or dungeons. The latter is designed to merge tightly with the respective areas of the world. So, for example, you’ll encounter dungeons full of sand in Kehjistan and flooded dungeons in Hawezar. But the best way to get a comprehensive impression is to watch the following video:
