Best Open World Games on PC: These Five Titles Are a Must-Have

Get even more room to move, think, act and fight. Here come some really hot games that will expand your horizons.

Thanks to today’s technology, more and more games offer open worlds that can be explored apart from the main story. We have compiled a list of the five best open world games on PC for all fans of non-linear gameplay.

The view into the distance is good for the soul they say. We also like to let our eyes wander through impressive landscapes. That’s why we want to simplify the search for your best open-world games and have made a list of our five favorites.

 

5. Kingdom Come: Deliverance

If you have a passion for medieval games and are a fan of huge worlds, then you should definitely check out Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The title impresses with realistic landscapes and towns, as well as a very realistic combat system. Bohemia in 1403: As the protagonist Henry, you want to take revenge on King Sigismund after he killed your parents and devastated your village. Challenging battles, fast horses, and numerous side quests await you.

4. Dying Light 2: Stay Human

The sequel takes place a few years later, after the events of the first Dying Light. In the meantime, the plague from Harran has spread to the rest of the world. As Aiden Caldwell, your main objective is to find your sister Mia. Face a large number of aggressive and also different types of zombies. Use a wide range of melee and ranged weapons, which you can modify and upgrade. Jump across the rooftops of a huge post-apocalyptic world while doing numerous side jobs along the way.

3. Red Dead Redemption 2

Never before has the Wild West been so lovingly and realistically realized as in Rockstar’s action RPG shooter Red Dead Redemption 2. You slip into the role of Arthur Morgan and find yourself as an Outlaw together with your Van der Linde gang on the run from the lawmen. While you hide from or fight (or even obey) the law, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful landscapes, numerous animals, and thriving cities. Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtedly one of the best open-world games on PC.

2. Grand Theft Auto 5

One of the most popular open-world PC games is GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto 5) from Rockstar Games. You’ll experience the stories of Trevor, Franklin, and Michael, who are repeatedly targeted by both criminal gangs and the government. You’ll take on many different missions in the open world around Los Santos and its surroundings, which are based on real locations on the US West Coast. Shoot, drive, fly and swim in a game full of excitement and adventure.
